May 2012 Trip

My husband and I are going to Ireland for 10 days this May to celebrate our one year wedding anniversary. I have planned how many days we will stay in a certain area along with B & Bs/hotels booked. I am concerned that I am not picking the right spots and will miss important stuff. I was wondering if anyone could give me advice.

- spend 1 night in Dublin

- two nights in Kinsale

- two nights in Dingle

- three  nights in Galway

- back in Dublin for our last night since we are flying in and out of Dublin

I was hoping to get some tips on where to stop from Dublin to Kinsale and what sights would be great to see around the places that we are staying. Or if you think we should change our plans some?

Thank you in advance! This forum is so helpful

newbie,

Welcome to my forum. Depending on what you want to see and do in Ireland, you might consider one night in Kinsale, take one night away from Galway and add those nights to either Killarney or Kenmare. Some places to stop on the route from Dublin to Kinsale might include. Rock of Cashel, Cahir Castle & Swiss Cottage, Blarney Castle.

Go to your local library and get some guidebooks about Ireland. They will help you pinpoint your interests. This might help too: http://irishfireside.wordpress.com/2008/11/08/top-10-ireland-sightseeing/
