Decisions decisions!!!

HI

Please give me your honest opinions on my itinerary quetions.

1.  Flying into Shannon, visit Burren and Cliffs, then staying in Doolin overnight.

2.  Drive to Dingle, stay overnight.  Next day, Slea Head Drive then onto Portmagee.  Staying Portmagee 2 nights and visiting Valentia Island and Skelligs. (important to stay here 2 nights - family history)

3.  THE PART I AM CONFUSED ABOUT -  Drive the other half of Ring of Kerry past Waterville and Sneem, etc.  I really want to see Muckross House and Ross Castle.  Should we stay in Kenmare overnight here?  I had originally planned to drive to Kinsale that night and stay there for 2 nights as there are attractions I want to see there also.

4.  After Kinsale, we are driving to Kilkenny 2 nights then Dublin 2 nights.

I know our timing is tight, but if you think it is better to cut something out, please let me know.  I am willing to give up the Burren and Cliffs if you think its better to slow down and take a little more time in the south.

Thankyou.

After reading about some other people rushing a lot more than me.... I think I have it sorted. I will fit Muckross and Ross Castle in between our trip to or from Port Magee :)) Itinerary finalised .... yahoo! Looking forward to a great holiday ... will let you know how I went (after June) ... yippeeeeee :)))

Deb,

I would put an overnight stay in Killarney instead of Kenmare after Portmagee. Then drive to Kinsale. That way you can see area sightseeing on the day you arrive in Killarney or the next morning - or split it up between the two days.

Thanks Michele

Do you know how long it would take to see Muckross and Ross Castle (half day or whole day) ?

Thankyou.

Deb

Deb,

Depends on what you want to see in Muckross.

Muckross House
Muckross Gardens
Muckross Traditional Farms
Muckross Abbey
Torc Waterfall

The castle is by tour only. If the first is full you may have to wait for the next.

I would devote a whole day for the Killarney sites.
