Trip to Ireland March with Chamber Discoveries

I'm new to this site and thought I posted a question a few days ago.  I can't find my post and not sure I did this right so I'm trying again.

1st trip to Ireland arriving March 14th.  Staying at Adare Manor Villas - Itinerary: 1st Visit Cliffs of Moher-Galway, 2nd - Dingle Excursion, 3rd - Spend St Patricks Day in Adare, 4th - Cashel-Kilkenny-Bunratty  5th - Optional Excursion to Blarney Castle then on to Dublin for 2 nights.  I'm signed up for the Pub Crawl in Dublin.

Although I'm traveling with the group, I'm (female) traveling on my own.  I'd appreciate any suggestions.  I read about Cel Phones, sounds like better to purchase a Cel Phone upon arrival at the airport rather than rent one thru Verizon.  Do you know if WiFi is available & average cost of wifi?

I've only traveled to Europe one other time & would appreciate any advice?  Am I right to take Excursion to Blarney Castle or see other sites on my own in general area?

Thanks so much for thoughts.

Donna,

Your first post got lost in this discussion: http://ireland.activeboard.com/t47367046/ireland-in-march-itinerary/?page=3&sort=oldestFirst

I have toured the villas at Adare Manor and found them to be first-class. A forum member has stayed there and enjoyed the experience. You will be fine there. Why not see Adare Manor and the village on St. Patrick's Day? The village is very small. If your friend doesn't want to visit Blarney Castle, perhaps you can do it on your own.

Adare Manor most likely has WiFi available. Contact them to find out about it. Dunraven Arms in the village has WiFi.

Thank you Michele. I just received notice that they are offering a shuttle to and from Limerick to see their parade & festivities but I was wondering the same thing about enjoying Adare.

In reading the posts and your response, I had decided not to rent the travel phone from Verizon to take with me. I had first thought it was suggested to buy the pay as you go phone at the airport. Reading more closely, it looks like it might be best to order one from either the site you recommended or Tesco in advance. I'm thinking just a basic phone that I could call home if needed or use if separated from the group, emergencies. I don't expect to need to call much but to have it more for safety reasons.

I am so glad I found your site & already recommended it and your book to the Chamber Director who is coordinating our trip on this end.

The Limerick parade will be 5 or 10 times the size of Adare's, and as there are under half a dozen streets in Adare I doubt you need an organised event for it.
