Dublin and car rental

Hi Michele,

We will be staying in Dublin 2 days at the end of our trip. Will need to return rental car at airport for very early flight on a Thursday morning. Would it be better to return car to airport on arrival to Dublin? Thinking of cost of parking a few days in the city and getting lost going to airport. Is there transportation to the airport from major hotels ( Renaissance).

No need for a car in Dublin far better to return the car to the Airport. As you won't be staying at an airport hotel you will need a cab to get you up there for an early flight.

Welcome to my forum. Tony is right on. Ditch the car before entering Dublin. It is a detriment in the city. If you are departing your hotel very early, best to order your taxi the night before for a specific time.
