Kenmare and Killarney

We're still trying to look for a good choice of a B&B or more upscale Guesthouse for this October in Kenmare.  The couple I've chosen wre either booked or already closed for the season. Both my husband and I have difficulty with stairs, so aren't looking at those over "restaurants or bars".  We have three days in this are of Ireland.  We haven't booked any "castle" experiences yet, but can't seem to find anything around this area.  We hope to drive the Beara one day, and drive bak and forth between Kenmare and Kilarney for some additional sightseeing the other two days. We are not doing the Ring of Kerry, but do want to spend some time in Killarney. I have a list but can't find one that seems to fit our travels while in this area yet.  I'm not good navigating this web site yet, and am trying to read recent reviews of travelers and their experiences.  Many that have been recommended to me I have on our list, but still looking for something a little more different.  This leg of our journey might not be that place.  Thanks again in advance again for any additional suggestions.

Sue,

What about The Lodge in Kenmare? They have ground floor rooms. O'Donnabhain's and Coachman's have elevators (lifts) to the upper floors. Brook Lane Hotel is another good choice with elevators.

Ballyseede Castle outside Tralee is the only one in Kerry.
