Have no idea what it costs, but friends of ours did just that when they were in Ireland a few years ago. Called her and she said they went here. Was about 30 miles west of Sligo, so not that far from Donegal. If you do it, I would be interested in what you think. Our friend said it was quite relaxing and something to try at least once -- more if you find it helps the joints a bit!

Here's a topic I can't find any info on on any forum. Has anyone had any experience with any of the spas that offer seaweed baths?
Four of us will be in Ireland in early October for 10 days. We will be visiting County Cavan, Donegal and Mayo and are planning a low key, easy does it visit. We ran across a mention of these spas - Voya and Kilkullen's in particular. The write-ups state these baths are helpful for people with arthritis. Since two in our party suffer from this ailment we were wondering if it might be a fun - and comforting - activity to plan.
I know there's a seaweed business in Co. Donegal and maybe they do baths. Maybe you could check with Shaun, the owner of Derrylahan Hostel near Kilcar in Donegal. He's connected. Visit County Donegal anyway.
I reported your comments to my fellow travelers and they are intriqued by this - especially my 89 year old Mom! We leave in a few weeks (yay!) so I will take your suggestions with us and let you know how it goes.
Charles - we are visiting County Donegal - spending three nights there - and looking forward to it. This will be my fifth trip to Ireland and I've always wanted to explore that part of the country. I finally get to do that.
Michele - I will also be taking your suggestion and NOT surfing this trip
