Upcoming late September trip

Wow, Henry's looks amazing!

We stayed in Schull when we toured that area back in 2009. It's a bit out of the way for Beara Peninsula, but quite convenient for Mizen Head and Sheep's Head.  We enjoyed our stay very much at Stanley House.

Hi all!

We are once again headed to Ireland biggrinand will have a week of "free" time.  During this time we plan to see Berra, Sheep's Head and Mizen Head.  Any suggestions on a base location or two for day trips?  We will have a car and like to stay in smaller B&B's that might be off the beaten path.  The rest of our time will be in Dingle with friends.  smile

Always enjoy the suggestions on this forum!

Glengariff, Bantry and Kenmare would all tick the box with a few good B&B choices.

I've done those peninsulas from Kenmare with no trouble. In West Cork a forum member stayed in Castlefreke and highly recommend's Henry's. Definitely off the beaten path with fantastic views. I plan on checking it out next time.

On the Mizen Peninsula I like Fort View House

In Skibbereen try PK Lodge.
