Bring gifts to relatives in Ireland

I'm heading to Ireland next month and some relatives have requested that I bring some gifts.  I'm pretty sure that I will have no problem getting yarn into the country but I have a request for a quart of Jack Daniels.  Is this legal?  Do I have to declare it?  Any answers would sure be appreciated!   -Tk

Sure, you can bring some over - but not litres and litres worth. Customs will have a list of how much of each type of alcohol an individual is allowed to export.

Sparky,

Welcome to my forum. You can bring one liter of Jack Daniels into Ireland per person. Since you will have to pack it in your checked luggage you may want to invest in something like Wine Skins. I think bubble wrap and a zip lock bag would work too. Hmmm. confuse They might have it for sale onboard the plane from the duty free. Check with your airline.
