You will find lots of low cost (irish perspective) clothes in Limerick. Depends what you are looking for??
Penneys is on O'connell St or The Crescent Shopping Precinct (mall?) http://www.primark.ie/ Tesco would also have a limited choice of clothing but a wide range of food/drink and consumables from a bar of soap to a 45" tV.

Two rules for Ireland, Take your time & bring a sense of humour
Mom and I are going back to Ireland for a third visit in March. We were wondering if there is a store in Ireland equivalent to TJ Maxx in the US. For those unfamiliar with TJ Maxx they sell brand names for less (much, much less!). It's a great store to purchase clothes, shoes, household good etc at huge discounts. Just curious if Ireland has a store like this???
There is TK Maxx: http://www.tkmaxx.com/ On the store locator I only see two stores: Tralee & Cork. Penny's has low cost clothes but not name brand. There is an outlet mall in Killarney. Otherwise try Dunnes Stores. But Ireland is not like the US. We have the population to support huge discounts. In Ireland they don't.
Remember, there is no such thing as a silly question on this forum!
Ty Michele! I realize the population of Ireland can't support huge discount stores... But thought I would ask. RX for the info. For the record we are less than three weeks away!!!
My granddaughter did purchase some items at the Nike Factory Store at the Killarney Outlet Centre.
There is also an "everything E2" like our dollar store here. It's on Main Street in Killarney next to Mac's restaurant, however to us at the time it would be everything $2.86, not such a bargain.
