Flight from London to Dublin

We (2) are planning on flying into London to visit his daughter.  We also want to see Ireland and were thinking about flying to Dublin, spending a few days and then flying back to London.  What airline would you recommend or is this a feasible plan?  Is it cost prohibitive or like the other small flights around Europe?

Welcome to my forum. It is possible to fly to Dublin from London and spend a few days there. You will definitely not see "Ireland" in just a couple of days in Dublin. There is an old saying "Dublin is not Ireland and Ireland is not Dublin". You will get a city experience, unless you get into the countryside.

You can check on flights at the Dublin Airport website: http://www.dublinairport.com/home.aspx  As always, prices of flights depend on many factors such as time of year, time of day, airline, etc. Check on Aer Lingus and Ryanair. Beware of Ryanair's luggage allowances and read all the fine print.

For 2 days in rural Ireland then maybe fly into Knock (Ireland West) and have a couple of days in North Mayo/Sligo and Connemara or Shannon and see the Shannon region from Limerick or Ennis, Flying into Dublin will get an Irish stamp on your passport and a look round Dublin, maybe a side trip to Glendalough.
