Hertz: Interesting Extras

While surfing the various car rental websites I came across some "extras" on Hertz rentals in Ireland. One extra that interested me was the WiFi hotspot for 37 euro per rental. Perhaps it will interest you too.

Interesting, Michelle. I'm wondering if there is a data charge above and beyond the rental charge. Can you think of any way to find out? I'd love having one of those along!

It says "fair usage policy applies". I suppose the only way to find out is to call or email them.

I was offered a similar device at the desk of Dan Dooley's when I picked up the car. I don't remember what the cost per day was .

Dooley is showing €10 per day. Hertz has a flat rate for the entire rental.

That's really interesting. I declined Dooley's offer because it was expensive for 17 days...

That would have been €170 Too expensive since WiFi is readily available at B&Bs, hotels and restaurants. It might be good for a business person who needs to have Internet access a lot (like me). Sometimes when I am self-catering there is no Internet available. In that case it would be invaluable.
