Six women! You do need an escape plan.  

Athlone Castle has recently reopened and just across the street is Sean's Bar

Derryglad Folk Museum

An Dun Transport & Heritage Museum

Birr Castle Gardens (I understand the castle is now open at certain times).

Portumna Castle

Scenic Drive through the Slieve Bloom Mountains

Belvedere House & Gardens (south of Mullingar)

Strokestown Park House & Famine Museum 

Corlea Trackway Museum

That should give you plenty to do while the ladies are busy with their reunion. biggrin

My wife and her five sisters are having a reunion in July and I'm still going to be in Ireland! I need an escape plan for several days to do some things on my own 13-15 July in the Athlone area. We'll be staying at  Glasson Stone Lodge and the reunion is at Glasson Hotel. Help!

Also, does anyone know the distance between the two places?

The Hotel is a couple of miles out from the village which is where the Lodge is,

I've done trips with FOUR females plus myself, but I don't know quite how it would be with SIX.  confuse  confuse  confuse

Apparently I'm not Bob, I'm trying to escape. My original plan had me safely out of the country BEFORE they gathered. You see how that worked out.
