Hiring a driver

Has anyone ever hired a driver to escort them through part of Ireland?  We are going in May  for the first time with a group of 8 and wondered if getting a mini bus and a car with a driver would be the best way to get around and not have to worry about finding our way places.

Hiring a van and driver can be cost-effective when a group can split the cost. Some things to keep in mind when planning your trip are:



  1. The driver will only work for a certain amount of time and/or mileage per day.

  2. Because of this it is important to plan your itinerary carefully.

  3. Always get a vehicle that is larger than the amount of people you have so you have plenty of room for luggage. Your car company will be able to advise you on that.
