Just thought I'd pass on some resources I've used to calculate driving times and routes in Ireland.
The more useful/accurate is www.theaa.com (sort of like our AAA). The link is on the left, "Routes & Traffic" and then make sure you choose "Ireland", then enter the cities you want to go to. You can add any number of 'via's' to your route to make it more complex. The biggest drawback of this one is that there is no map (I'm a visual person!)
I also use www.Viamichelin.com, which DOES offer great interactive maps. However, it doesn't seem to 'know' as much about Ireland and it's towns/villages. The directions are also a bit confusing sometimes.
Using both systems, however, actually works out pretty well most of the time, and they both give fairly accurate driving times for their directions. Viamichelin has the option of calculating distances in miles or KM, and how much gas you'll use
Thanks for the good resources. Keep in mind that those sites are computer generated and they are very optimistic for travel times. The best way to calculate is find the number of miles and divide by 35 mph!
