B&B vs. Guest Houses?

What's the difference besides price?

Irisheyes,

Guesthouses usually cost more because they are in a different category than bed-and-breakfasts. Guesthouses fall somewhere in-between a B&B and a hotel, however, there is a fine line between B&Bs, guesthouses and farmhouses that sometimes is very blurred. Generally B&Bs and farmhouses have six rooms or less, while guesthouses can have more rooms. Guesthouses may be more upscale than B&Bs and provide more amenities – but not always. Each property is distinctively individual.
