We flew with someone last year who was scared to fly, and he said afterward that it was misplaced anxiety. Smooth flight, great service, movies, music, to get you there.
I'm not going to prescribe medicine for you ... but I think you will be just fine. Especially simple on Aer Lingus if you are flying direct.
Aer Lingus aircraft are named after Irish Saints. The name will be displayed under the pilot's window if you have a chance to view it before boarding the plane.
If the flight attendant is native Irish, you may hear the announcements in both English and Irish with "Cead Mile Failte" as your greeting.
Now, doesn't that make you feel better about flying Aer Lingus.
The flight was very smooth. The head stewardess was Irish so she spoke in English and her native language which was nice. I didn't eat on the flight so I'll let my wife speak about the food.
I also thought the flight was fine. No problems with turbulence or anything, and I am not a great person to be on a flight with. We were given a choice of 2 meals, which I took the beef on the first flight and chicken on the flight home. Both were fine and came with a small salad, dessert and water. The flight went by quick enough because you could watch movies, tv shows or listen to music.
