 what is your suggestion of transportation to ash ford castle. Two couples arriving at Shannon at two different dates ( a couple days apart).  One couple staying in Ennis or limerick for a couple of nights then can meet up with second couple and head to castle together or separately. two couples will return together from castle to Galway To join motor coach tour  

Would it be best to meet at Shannon or Galway or ???? and arrange transfers from that location. Or perhaps first couple just getS to castle and doesn't meet up with second couple. what are options for first couple either from limerick or Ennis?  

Self drive no no longer an option. 28oct-02nov15 travel dates.

Ashford Castle no longer provides a shuttle to meet the One bus a day serving Cong therefore its taxi time from Galway. As the bus from SNN to Galway passes Ennis and heads from Limerick then both couples could meet on the Bus.  My vote always goes the way of Ennis 

The dates cover Samhain (Halloween) so possibly catch a bit of a festival There is a good music event in Glór Ennis on the 30th http://www.glor.ie/events

The clocks will have gone back so darker mornings.
