A search through the archives didn't find anything on this topic. Does anyone have any experience flying A S L Airlines operated Aer Lingus flights? This will be the first time flying on one of their leased planes. I'm excited about flying non-stop for the first time, even though it's into Dublin. It's a good excuse to spend a couple days in Dublin anyway.
I haven't flown Aer Lingus in a coon's age. Lately it is United from Newark into Shannon for me. Hopefully someone that has been on Aer Lingus recently will reply.
I hope United has treated you well! I usually fly Aer Lingus from JFK or Boston Logan on their Aerbus 300's but they have recently been leasing 757's from ASL. I'm guessing that United also flys 757's? Smaller plane and 3 + 3 seating configurations means my wife & I will have a neighbor on our flights! Ive been spoiled having 2 seats to ourselves.
Yes, United has the 3/3 seats in coach on their 757s. Nowadays it is like a bus. Cram in as many seats as possible. Other than fly business class or buy three seats, what can you do? Last time we had the coach seats with extra leg room and a bulkhead right behind business, which was not too bad. Hubby had the window and I was in the center seat. An Irish nun was seated beside me on the aisle. I hate, hate, hate sitting all the way in the back.
I flew Aer Lingus on a 757 to Shannon in 2014. There were three of us so that part was okay but it's still more cramped than what we had gotten used to in the past.
