4 friends April 15-29 itin. help

Hello to all and especially another one L Michele, we are a special club. Off to Ireland with 3 friends April 15-29. I have viewed Ireland from 30,000 feet many times and now I get to land there! Arriving Dublin Easter morning (St Pat's Cathedral if we are not too groggy) and staying for 2 nights. Pick up car @airport the 18th and heading to Glendalough (Riverside B&B) for one night. We are all quite flexible about this trip since it is our first and this is where I need help. Where might we stay for the second night as we head to the Dingle Penninsula? It may well be our only inland stay. On the 20th travel to Dingle for a 3 night stay, recommendations? On the 23rd head N-NW Cliffs of Moher etc. stay? On to Galway/Connemara/Westport area for another 3 night stay. Been looking into staying and hiking on Achill as well. I have lived on a fabulous island off the coast of Washignton and it just seems right to visit an island off the west coast of Ireland! April 27th heading towards our departure from Dublin on the 29th, suggestion for this since we may want to breakup the long drive. April 28th arrive close to airport for overnight stay (Swords?) with departure in a.m. of 29th. We plan on doing alot of hiking, relaxing, meeting people and talking with them, seeing the sights and of course pub time. Any one know of any hot springs or health spas (budget type) where we could soak and have a massage? All advice much appreciated and look forward to "cleaning up" this trip and then sharing the fruits with you all here.

mgdmoon,

Well, I assume that you are Michele with one "L" too! Do you have your Dublin reservations yet? That is very important to do ASAP. Riversdale in Glendalough is a great B&B and I highly recommend it.

Where might we stay for the second night as we head to the Dingle Penninsula? * Depends on what you want to see and do. You could do the coastal route or go inland. Kilkenny and Cashel are good places to stay.

On the 20th travel to Dingle for a 3 night stay, recommendations? * See my "Lodgings" page for lots of great places to stay. If you have my book you will have complete descriptions of places that I highly recommend and have personally stayed.

23rd head N-NW Cliffs of Moher etc. stay? * Lisdoonvarna is a spa area. Perhaps that is where you can get in your "hot springs".

On to Galway/Connemara/Westport area for another 3 night stay. Been looking into staying and hiking on Achill as well. I have lived on a fabulous island off the coast of Washignton and it just seems right to visit an island off the west coast of Ireland! * For Achill Island I highly recommend Bervie. It is perfect and right on the beach. If you stay tell Liz and John hello from me and that I recommended them.

April 27th heading towards our departure from Dublin on the 29th, suggestion for this since we may want to breakup the long drive. * Athlone is the dead center of Ireland.

April 28th arrive close to airport for overnight stay (Swords?) * Swords is very convenient to the airport.

Have fun!

Michele
