Irish Easter Traditions

How do the traditions differ in Ireland than from what we do in the US? Anyone know???

Irisheyes,

Most traditions are very similar to the US and everywhere else. An interesting note is that this year Ireland is celebrating the 90th Anniversary of the Easter Rising of 1916. You might find some of the following info interesting:

Thanks Michele.

When you add a B&B in your book, does the B&B get a copy of the write up?

Irisheyes,

I generally try to email the review to each B&B before my book is published. I ask them to look it over and notify me of any mistakes. One B&B in No. Ireland for the 2006 book alerted me that I had put their prices in euro instead of pounds sterling. That was a big typo! Why do you ask?

I had one host ask if I would bring the book so she could take a look at her write up. I thought it seemed odd I suspect that she wants to check out the other write ups in her general area. Not that it would be a bad thing.....

Irisheyes,

Who was it? I will check to see if I emailed her. I also give a complimentary copy of my book to each lodging listed but only when I am in their area and sometimes that takes a year or two. It just costs too much to mail them to Ireland so I drop them off when I am there. It is possible it is someone I have not yet visited to drop the book to. Perhaps they just want to see the final result.

Michele,
Can I email you? I don't want to make it public for fear I offended someone unintentionally.
