IS Ireland really safe?

Hello!

I am Nathan, I am working as a factory worker here in the Phiippines. For everyone to know, our offices and work establishments were closed due to covid 19.

I found a video online which is saying that Ireland is the safest country.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-WXppf7n8LQ

I have a few questions.

1. Is there a protests there of black lives matter?

2. Is there any riots of political parties?

3. How much is the crime rate?

4. How's covid 19 in Ireland?

I'll be waiting for your honest answers everyone!

Keep safe!

Welcome to Michele's Forum!

Like ANY country, Ireland has crime.  The RATE of that crime is quite small, however, which results in the universal acknowledgement that the country is considered as one of the safest in the world.

The Irish people DO engage in protests, but generally, they are quite peaceful.  As a (frequent) visitor, I am unaware of any riots within the past decade.

Violent crime rate figures are here:  https://www.irishtimes.com/news/crime-and-law/ireland-has-11th-lowest-homicide-rate-in-europe-un-report-1.3956453#:~:text=The%20UN%27s%20Global%20Study%20on,rate%20was%206.1%20per%20100%2C000.

The country seems to have 'Turned the Corner' on Covid 19 at this point and is gradually reopening / normalizing.

Hope this helps!

The other ones I don't know about but, regarding Covid:

Well it depends really.  There is a lot you would need to do research in from government regulations to facilities and company policies themselves, depending on where you are living or want to go. For example when one of my friends visited Ireland this year, he said that his private transfer company was covid compliant.

I heard in online streams how people in some areas stopped using masks because they have had enough.  This is not to scare you but things can change over time. I hope, it makes you aware to be aware of as many things as possible.
