Planning Routes -- AA Roadwatch

I'm trying to print out my directions on the AA Roadwatch site to each city we'll be staying at. There are about 10 choices in Dublin, each associated w/ a number. What do the numbers mean? Specifically, I'm staying at Jury's Inn at Christchurch and want to get to Kilkenny. I also have the Michelin map. Any help appreciated!!!

The numbers are the postal codes for different Dublin areas/neighborhoods.  Odd numbers are north of the Liffey;  even are south.

Jury's Christchurch is Dublin 8.

Father's Day. It's coming so soon!

How did you locate the 8 so I can figure out how it works???????

The address should read something like: Jury's Inn, Christchurch Place, Dublin 8  or  Gresham Hotel, Upr. O'Connell St., Dublin 1 (north of the Liffey).  I think  (emphasis on think) a lot of the city center is either Dublin 2 or 8, around Trinitiy College and St. Stephen's Green is Dublin 2, and O'Connell Street Dublin 1.
