My wife and I have just returned from three weeks in Ireland. We spent the last 2 days in Ennis at the Temple Gate, thanks Michele for the suggestion. We were very pleased with the Hotel. The location cannot be beat, right in the town center but buffered by a courtyard from the hustle and bustle of the lively town. Very clean and well equipped. The staff were efficient and friendly. There is a good Carvery Lunch at a very reasonable 8.50 to 9.50 Euros. The Preachers Pub is good considering it is located in a modern hotel. I was able to book a reasonable rate at www.hotelclub.com.
When I have a few minutes I will comment on a couple of other aspects of our trip.
