There are quite a few fine options for golf in Ireland. When I was just there, coupons could be found to play three different courses in a group for a reduced rate. It was usually between 109 and 150 euro.

It's almost impossible to give you an itinerary without knowing what you want to do sighseeing wise. The SW of the country is probably the most popular and for good reason, but there are other wonderful sections to be enjoyed also. I'm a big fan of the NW. There are about 5 very fine golf courses around Killarney and Kenmare, and if you take out a second mortgage, the Old Head of Kinsale may be just about the most spectacular golf course in the world. http://www.oldheadgolflinks.com/

On the western tip of the Dingle peninsula is the Dingle links, the most westerly golf course in Europe. Ballybunnion is the famous one about 45 min north of Tralee. I've played the tiny Connemara Isles golf course just west of Galway and it's a hidden gem. http://www.connemaraislesgolfclub.com/ They have the only thatched clubhouse in Ireland. The Carne golf links near Belmullet in Co Mayo get high marks. Cruitt Island is too out of the way for most people way up in Donegal, but we had the course to ourselves one day last May.

There are lots of options in NI too, but this should get you started.

Bill has started you out on the right foot. Of course you don't say what city you will arrive in and which one you leave from. That will have a big impact on any itinerary.
