My husband & I are taking my mom (72yo) to Ireland for 10 days. She has been there 5 times, we have been 3 times. We are renting a car & will be staying at B & Bs. Our main interest this trip is to go to the Aran Islands,Giants Causeway,& Belfast. We are flying in & out of Shannon. It is awesome to read so many ideas on this forum. Any suggestions as to how to pace this & where to stay? We are rather loose this time, since we have been on several tours. We enjoy traditional Irish music (our girls step danced for many years !) Thanks in advance for any input ! Maureen
You might want to start out slow so your mother has a chance to get accustomed to the time difference. Staying in places for two or three nights at a time where possible is usually a good idea. Feel free to post your tentative itinerary here and everyone will comment on it. I have some good places to stay on my "Lodgings" page and even more in my book. Near the top of the page click on IrelandYes Index and then on Lodgings.
