I think you need to plan a few more 2-night stays and in between have a few one-nighters. Going from Dublin, seeing the Rock of Cashel and Cahir Castle and ending the day in Kinsale is (in my opinion) too much and too far for one day. It is hardly worth one night in Kinsale since you really won't have time to see it with your hectic schedule. The route through west Cork via Glengarriff is slow going.

Most people are happy with a 2-night stay in Dingle. Although if you are planning on hiking, biking or extra things there your three nights would make sense.

I think you need to get back to the drawing board and map out another plan. Also, think about where you want to be for the end of your trip. Since you know where you will be on your last night in Ireland, it would make sense to have reservations for that soon. If you are planning on a castle banquet or Irish Night, those also need advance booking.

If we spend one night in Cashel and then, the next night in Kenmare (eliminating Kinsale), will that work? Is Kenmare driveable from Cashel?

55spencer, Michele gives good advice. We had a great trip and she gave me lots of good advice.

The slower the better in Ireland, I suggest. The long drives aren't enjoyable, in my opinion, because the roads are narrow and it's kinda stressful, therefore you want to get where you are going, and stay put for a minimum of 2 nights. For us, 2 nights in one spot isn't enough. We prefer 3 or 4 nights in one spot. We had 3 nights in Dingle for example and all of us wished for 1 more night because we had to miss the boat trip to the Great Blasket Island.

That will work, although I would want two days in Kenmare. Perhaps you can pull one day from another stop to make that work. The drive between Cashel and Kenmare is doable in a day.
