Leaving in a few days time for our trip to Ireland. Hoping to have enough time to fly from Connemara Regional Airport at Inverin, Galway, to Inis Mor. We will return to Inverin that same evening. Can anyone tell me about parking at Inverin airport? Will our car and it's contents be safe there for that day? Thank you very much. daffy
I have not heard of any problems with parking for the day at either the ferry or the airport and going to the Aran Islands. Many thousands of people do it every year. It is always wise to not have anything visable in the car to tempt anyone. Other than that just lock your car and enjoy your day on the islands.
We left our cars overnight, each of them having bags in them because you can't carry a whole lot of weight on board. Everyone just took an overnight bag. A few things that might help. As you say, put you luggage in the boot and make sure you don't have things lying on the front seat like maps, bags from tourist shops and other car tourist looking type items. It's a nice 10 minute trip. Enjoy!
Thank you, Bill. Looking forward to this trip very much. Will take your advice about leaving tourist-type stuff for all to see. Thanks for your reply. Off to Ireland in a matter of hours. Bye for now. daffy
