b&b county meath

I did not see anything listed for county meath in your book. The place listed for Drogheda no longer has an operational WEB site -- I would like to find a place near Newgrange and Trim Castle for the last two nights -- Any suggestions?

Thanks

RE: b&b county meath

kapmap,

Boyne Haven in Drogheda has never had an operational web site. They have registered one but have not done one. However, it is a nice place to stay. Otherwise, you might try Highfield House in Trim. There is also a new hotel - the Trim Castle Hotel - that just opened a few months ago: http://www.trimcastlehotel.com/ It has some excellent online rates.

I hope you find what you are looking for.

Kapmap,

I have stayed at Rossnaree and found it to be a wonderful place. It is very close to Newgrange. Annsbrook is also only 7 minutes from Newgrange and the garden is absolutely lovely, depending on when you are traveling there, of course. Both are Old world houses, steeped in Lore and History. The hosts are marvelously well versed in the stories. They are also a great source for off the beaten path type site.

They would be my choice.

Have a great adventure!

I just came across the Roughgrange Farm in the Irish Farmhouse Bed & Breakfast guide. I have read the two reviews I can find on it and from what i have read it sounds like a good place.

Kapmap,
Have you found a place to stay in Meath yet?
A couple of years ago, my family stayed at Bondique House, not far from Newgrange. It was a lovely stay, which we all enjoyed. The hosts were very friendly and even helped play a joke on one of my sisters (I traveled with my parents and 3 40+ y/o sisters).
I highly recommend this B&B.

Bondique House.
Situated on N2 in the heart of the Boyne Valley. newgrange 8km, Navan and Drogheda 10km. Large gardens with pond and picnic tables.

4km from town
