Tourism Ireland

Anyone else out there having trouble getting information from Tourism Ireland?  I have been awaiting a packet for 2 1/2 months!  After a month of waiting, they said they were sending out another kit, and I haven't received anything.

Marie, thank you for jogging my memory. I haven't received my packet either. And it's been several months since I called.

Hi Everyone,

I ordered lots of stuff in July and just got it. It looks like a looooong wait if my close to 6 months is any indication.

I had to call every two weeks in order to get what I did. The people answering the phones are nice as pie but the shipping department is the pits.

I think a letter-writing campaign is in order because the people I talk to on the phones don't seem to think there is a problem. They seem genuinely amazed that what I ordered had not arrived in ten days. Contact:

John O'Donoghue, Minsiter of Arts, Sport & Tourism, Department of Arts, Sport and Tourism, 23 Kildare Street, Dublin 2.

I couldn't find an email address except for the webmaster: webmaster@dast.gov.ie

If they won't send info to people in the business of promoting Ireland for over 5 months, good luck in waiting for your stuff to arrive.

I have forwarded all the e-mail correspondence between me and Tourism Ireland to the e-mail address you provided.  Hope it helps!  I sure am glad we have this forum and are not dependent upon Tourism Ireland to provide us with needed information.

Happy Holidays to all!

Matt,

Thanks for the update. The problem is not that they don't have the stuff to send out, it is that they are not sending it. Wonder what's going on there?

Michele, I know i was just letting people know that if it took you 6 months to get them call know. If you are lucky they might ship them to you before you leave for Ireland in May.

Matt,

Good idea. I also suggest that people call every two weeks to let Tourism Ireland know the stuff has not arrived. I think that is why I finally got mine. They were tired of me calling.
