PIX FROM JUNE 2007 TRIP

Well, after deleting all of the MOST incriminating ones, I've finally uploaded my pictures to FLICKR.  Haven't lashed captions onto all of them, yet -- I'll edit to add them at a later date.  Haven't started work on the REPORT yet, either....weirdface

To recap:  17 June, arrived in Edinburgh, Scotland for two days and then took the train to Stranraer, via Glasgow and then the Stena Ferry to Belfast, followed by the Enterprise train from Belfast to Dublin.  Rented a car the next day and drove a circular, 2500 Kilometer loop, from Dublin, to Cork (Watergrasshill), to Baltimore, Rathmore (Kerry), Ennis, Ballyshannon, Killybegs, Buncrana, Ballycastle and back , via Belfast, to fly out of Dublin on 3 July.

Hope you enjoy...

Did enjoy, Bob, and was even able to identify a few shots without the captions! Thanks for sharing the pix, and we are waiting with worms on our tongues for the trip report.

Enjoyed all 794 of them !
I have never seen any personally taken photos of Belfast or Derry before.
Loved the pics of the wall art.
Yes, I was able to place a few without the captions. Put a smile on my face !
Cheers!

Bob,

Thanks for a pictorial trip to Ireland. The photos of Derry brought both a warm and sad rush of feelings.  I did have to smile when I was looking at your Rosslyn Chapel Pictures. You & I appear to have taken identical shots. The one of the main ceiling in the chapel with the stars panel, made me smile with a memory of my 18 year-old son stating in an awe struck voice "Momma, I can see Jesus in the stars". We snapped an upclose photo and he still shows it to everyone, patiently pointing out the face when they can't find it at first.

Thanks for a wonderful trip for the mind and soul. I will now eagerly await your travel report!

Slan Beo,

Bit

Hello Bob,

Welcome back.  I trust you had a great trip!  I will be looking forward to the trip report, and especially to reading about Ballyshannon.  My mother was from Creevy, right outside Ballyshannon.

gonna look at the pics now.smile.gif

Bob,

Welcome home! I won't have time to look at the photos tonight but will tomorrow. I'm sure it will be a treat. Thanks - as always - for sharing.

The photos were great.  My kids and I especially like the tree lined road on page 11 and the rope bridge.  May I ask where these are as they want to go there?
