Back from our trip Wow, what a blast. My wife Mary and I are back from our trip from Ireland including a side trip to Copenhagen/Sweden. Our daughter works there and was an instant tour guide for us. Our Ireland visit began in Dublin and ended up the nite before departure from Shannon at Mary Browne's Bunratty Lodge. We saw many things including Wicklow/Glendalough, Avoca( home of Ballykissangel). I took a photo of Mary sitting on the bench infront of Fitzgerald's. We continued west thru Wicklow Gap, Kilkenny, Cashell eventually to Killarny and Ring of Kerry and finally Bunratty, Driving a rental car can be challenging. Let say it is not for the weak of heart. Although I did not get to the Blarny stone to kiss, the car tires did there own occassional kissing with the curbs. We saw many monastic ruins along the way and a breath taking view from Killarny's Agodoe Heights overlooking Lough Leane. I think I'm spelling them right (maybe). We realize we only saw a fraction of Ireland. I guess that requires another future visit back to Ireland. We arrived back in the state's on Friday nite. It is nice to recover on the weekend before going back to work. It felt like we were still on Ireland time, feeling sleepy and the brain still has all of the sights of the trip to empty out while trying to sleep. It was nice to visit this web site for the preperation of the trip. Learned many things from it. Thanks for being there.
Thanks so much for taking the time to stop by and let us know how much you enjoyed your trip to Ireland. It sounds like you are one of many who are already planning another trip to the Emerald Isle sometime in the future. When you do I will be here to help you along the way again. Glad the tires only "kissed" the curbs and you didn't have any blowouts!
